Report to: Site VP
Subordinates: 4 AM/Mgr
1) Implementation of EHS concepts (mandatory and Responsible Care ®)
Interpret and communicate the THE COMPANY company and authority EHS regulations and requirements to the line management, including recommendation on implementation and
improvement actions to support meeting the safety and environmental protection standards
2) EHS (mandatory and Responsible Care ®) education
Consolidate the training needs to help identifying the EHS training/education programs, schedules and target groups to strengthen the employees’ awareness on EHS, to conduct training/ workshop,introduction programs, according to plan and needs
3) Monitoring EHS performance
1.Identify and interpret applicable EHS regulations to recommend priorities and improvement actions, including developing safe work practices and measures with line personnel to monitor conformance through safety and housekeeping inspections.
2.Organize the audits of EHS performance with the necessary THE COMPANY or external partners and initially consolidate/summarize the performance reports in order to ensure the
correct and consistent implementation of the EHS requirements/regulations, and alert line management the detected problem areas.
4) EHS preventive measures and objectives
1.Implement the agreed company safety standards and preventive guidelines by working with line managers to identify the common safety/ health hazards inherent in the company’s
existing and future operations processes covering production, transportation, warehousing work processes/ product etc. in order to enforce EHS implementation to eliminate the damages related to industrial hazards
2.Review new/ existing products, equipment, and processes for potential hazards and recommend to the supervisor and line management modifications
5) Accident follow-up
According to the supervisor’s guidance and company requirements, assist in/ lead the investigation of occupational accidents or problem areas to recommend improvement/ preventive measures.
1.Establish and maintain a documentation system to keep company, corporate and mandatory EHS rules/ regulations, communication materials, inspection and audit reports/ materials etc to ensure that the major activities are properly documented according to needs.
2.Initially prepare EHS statistics, analysis and reports (e.g., accidents, training times) for internal and external (THE COMPANY, government authorities, third party auditor where applicable)use in order to help monitor the conformance of company/ corporate/ mandatory EHS requirements
7) Project support
Support new projects by providing EHS related information, obtaining EHS related approvals and organizing EHS reviews
8) Emergency Response
Maintain and lead the emergency response and fire brigade to provide service for THE COMPANY Pudong site
9) Reporting & Communication (with supporting from PR Dept.)

10) Cost control
l Education: Bachelor and above in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental protection or safety related discipline；
l Working Experience: Over 10 years’ relevant experience in Chemical Industry, minimum 5 years on leadership role Experience in MNC is preferred；
l Technical & Professional Knowledge: Solid understanding of Responsible Care® system；
l Experience of chemical production and process safety are preferred；
l Team working with strong communication and collaboration skills；
l Excellent verbal and written ability in English and Mandarin.
